A Hero in the Making

The winner of the Elks Drug Awareness Program/ Marvel Comics Heroes Essay Contest grand prize is Vincent Buccigrossi of East Brunswick, NJ. Vincent is the lucky winner of $500 worth of toys and a year’s subscription to a Marvel comic. Best of all, he’ll appear in a Marvel comic book with a character drawn to his likeness. It really does pay to stay away from drugs and alcohol!

For more information on the Elks Drug Awareness Program, visit www.elks.org/drugs/default.cfm.

What is the ENF Doing for California-Hawaii?

The ENF increased state association distributions by 4 percent for 2007-08. States use these grants to fund their state major projects, Hoop Shoot, Drug Awareness, scholarship programs, and other charitable endeavors.

This year, the ENF will grant $1,281,980.00 to California-Hawaii. To see how the donations are distributed, please view the complete ENF in your State Report at www.elks.org/enf/yourstate.cfm.

Help ENF Avoid Postage Costs

Dear Members,

Every June, the ENF sends pledge reminders and our annual appeal to active ENF donors. If you have an active pledge, or if you donated during the 2006-07 year but have not yet donated during 2007-08 year, you’ll receive something from us in June.

With rising postage costs, you can do even more to help the ENF by donating now and saving us the cost of sending you a letter in June. Go to www.elks.org/donate/pulse.cfm to make an online donation or mail your donation to us by May 31.
