ROAMIN ELKS NEWSLETTER – February 2012  

The February campout was at Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach.  We had 11 RV’s in attendance and the weather was good with cool evenings.

Our Guests this weekend were Patty Crabtree niece of Pat Rawlings.  Thursday evening some went to Back Bay restaurant and others went to Amelia’s Italian

Friday some people rode bikes, some went shop and out to lunch, some just hung out talking.  Friday evening we had a 50/50 drawing and Sally Whitman won the first $20.00 drawing and then she won the second $20.00 drawing and Dick Howard won $15.00.  In the evening Gil and Sharon Fernandez had a fire and we all sat around and talked.  Evening dinner of appetizers were really good.

Saturday morning the  breakfast was continental.  The Calvin’s and Palmer’s provided us all with champagne for our continental breakfast.  Our meeting was held right after breakfast.

In the afternoon we played bingo and the winners were Roger Blount and Lynda Glisson.  We then played LCR and the winners were Lynda Glisson and Mel Keck.

Sickness and distress:

Dick Woods had emergency bypass surgery and is recovering at Inland hospital.  Marlene is recovering slowly from her illnesses during the holidays.

Happy Birthday to those celebrating in March…… Eva Van Stratten, Gary Olson, Roger Blount, Pat Rawlings, Debbie Weisberg, Dick Canzoneri, Rose and Darwin Duncan, Don Soper and Lynda Glisson.

No Anniversaries in March.
